Hi,

How do I identify exit signals for strategies that I have taken a position on?

If I have entered position A using strategy A, position B using strategy B, and position C using strategy C etc. How do I identify the exits for each of these positions using the associated strategy?

Thanks

The simple answer is that all strategies run hypothetically. Strategy A will trade whatever Strategy A opened and so on.

Probably, the question is missing context.

Wealthlab allows you to identify profitable strategies. Once this has been done you are then able to monitor a strategy for signals using Stratgey monitor. Strategy monitor alerts when a strategy conditions are met, and an order can be placed with your broker using order manager. Or manually if not connected to your proker.

Now I have an open position (and I may have many open positions using many strategies), how do I get alerted to close the position using the strategy logic?

Just run the Strategy. It signals both entries and exits.

If a position was opened hypothetically (based on the historical data), then you'll get a signal to exit that position if the logic triggers it.

If you get a signal to exit a position that you don't own, then you can block those signals with the option in the Trading Preferences.

If you manually traded a position that you want your strategy to close, then you can use the "Live Positions" feature.

Hit F12 for Preferences, select Trading. Then hit F1 to read about all of these Trading options.
