I'm running a new Dell Windows 11 computer and downloaded the latest IQFeed and WL8.. IQFeed does not show up in Data Manager, Historical Providers. However, IQFeed SnapQuote shows data so my login is working. But Time and Sales does not show data. So, there's a problem with Time and Sales in IQFeed which sounds like a problem I found in a WL discussion. The DTN person wasn't able to help me but suggested that something might be blocking port 9100. I don't see anything using 9100. The DTN support person said that there was problem with GHub and Logitech conflicts, but I don't have those. I'll work on it this weekend and can talk to DTN developers Monday I need to get IQFeed to work first. Maybe that will solve the WL8 problem. But if anyone has some information on it I would really appreciate it.
Rename
You need to post a TCPView (from the sysinternals package) of all your local port numbers for IQFeed (iqconnect.exe) so the DTN consultant can see what's not connecting. By the way, "troubleshooter" below is the name of my engineering workstation. The name of your system should replace that. Your port numbers may differ "some" depending on which ports are free on your system for IQFeed to use.
superticker,
Thank you very much for the information. I did try my tcpview but Win 11 security stopped it. It's very old, so I'll update it. However, I was able to find a setting in IQFeed that allowed me to get time & sales data. So IQFeed is working. I don't think it's a port problem. Win 11 has a program that shows what is using ports and it seemed to be clear.
My problem now is that IQFeed doesn't show up in "DataManager HistoricalProviders". The working program in Win10 has a line in the WealthLab directory named DataProviders.txt that contains:
"1|66|IQFeed4|True10|WealthData5|False6|Q-Data5|False14|Yahoo! Finance5|False12|AlphaVantage5|False13|Cryptocompare5|False"
The Window 11 installation has a DataProviders.txt file and I tried using that line, but it didn't work. So there are probably more undiscovered lines.
There may be something changed in a recent update that broke it. If I saved my old install file, I'll try the older working version. The new release has broken the chart trend lines. That's a showstopper so I'll have to use the older version anyway until that's fixed.

My DataProviders.txt line looks like this:
CODE:
2|156|IQFeed4|True10|WealthData4|True14|Yahoo! Finance4|True6|Q-Data4|True6|Tiingo4|True12|AlphaVantage5|False21|FinancialModelingPrep5|False4|CBOE5|False13|Cryptocompare5|False6|Nasdaq5|False6|Quandl5|False10|QuoteMedia5|False6|Random5|False5|Stooq5|False10|TwelveData5|False
Is the latest IQFeed Extension for Wealth-Lab installed (build 35) with Wealth-Lab build 129 or later?
And, is IQFeed Client Software 6.2 or greater installed?

Yes, it's a new Windows 11 Dell and is working well. I downloaded the WL8 build 131 and IQ Extension 35 from the WL site. Both are working. I downloaded IQ from the DTN site. I can run the IQ tools and get data in both SnapQuote and Time & Sales. But IQ does not show in WL Historical providers. As I remember it, when I installed IQ before, it just appeared in WL Historical Providers. I don't see any additional steps to install IQ in WL8.
It's sure wonderful to see that you all are still available after all these years. I hope all is going well.

Cone,
I've had some luck (and 30 years of hacking) and I have it working. I'll try to report what I found but I've tried so many times that it's hard to keep track exactly.
IQFeed that I got from DTN shows in the desktop and the IQ utilities get data, but it doesn't show in Historical Providers as I reported. Since it didn't work in WL, I uninstalled it.
IQFeed35(for WL) that I got from Wealth-Lab.com appears in Historical Providers but doesn't show a desktop Icon or in installed programs, so I can't use the IQ utilities or uninstall it. I entered the user/password in Historical Providers, and it took it but doesn't get data.
So, I reinstalled (data getting) IQFeed from DTN. It shows in the desktop again. But now I still see it in WL historical providers. I logged in again and am getting data in WL8. So, it looks like it's working. However, the IQFeed downloaded from DTN yesterday shows as version 6.2.0.25.
The version that I have been using for years is probably older than that, so it's probably good enough. You know the expression "If it ain't broke.....". So, I'm inclined to move on.
Thank you for your help. If you have any observations, I'd still like to know. I still have to move the data and configuration over from the old computer. I was just going to (back up first then) copy from the previous WeathLab8 directory: Datasets, DrawingsV2, Strategies, and Workplaces. I'm not sure what to copy from Settings so I could use some help there. I was going to avoid DataProviders.txt since that's working. I'm inclined to NOT copy settings.txt and see what it looks like since it's fitting in the screen nicely. I struggled with the older Win 10 computer for days trying to get the fonts etc. to work. Win 11 is working much better.

Cone,
I think I've transferred the setting that I need from the previous computer. You gave me two authorization codes for this purpose, so I'll keep the Window 10 computer as a back until I get some hours on the new equipment.
But it looks like all is well.
