Hi guys,

First, a big thank you again for the incredible Wealth-Lab platform. I’ll thank you every time I post here because it’s an absolutely brilliant product, and I’ve been using it for 15 years.

Quick question — I’m 99% sure of the answer, but I just want to confirm:

1. When I’m in the Strategy Monitor, and I right-click and choose **Run All Daily Plus Now**, will that automatically upload/update the data for those systems for me?

2. Related — when I just run a single strategy in strategy view (not Strategy Monitor), will that upload/update the data for that strategy?

3. If the answers to #1 and #2 are “yes,” then do I ever need to manually update datasets, or will everything always be up-to-date automatically?

Thanks in advance and best regards,
Rod

Hey Rod, your instinct is correct. The SM and Strategy window both update the data as needed on demand. So the only reason to manually update the data would be if you wanted to check the last update date of all the symbols.

Normally yes, but there are rare exceptions. For example, Yahoo data provider only updates US mutual fund data after midnight (local time). That's just the way that specific data provider works. So if you want to see backtesting results after the market closes and it's just past midnight, then you need to click the bottom left corner of the Strategy Window that says "X Symbol(s) Loaded" so it changes to "Need to Load Data". Now when you run that strategy, WL will load the latest data for the new bar since the market closed.

Now your historical data provider may work differently.
