Not quite sure how to ask this question. Here goes.

If I am trading (really any currency) BTC/USD and I want to trade a certain number of dollars per trade. and want to let reivestment of profits be used.

ie.

I have a 100k tranche and I want to trade 10% of it, ie. 10k.

How do I do that?

Wouldn't using 10% of Equity position sizing accomplish what you're looking for?

would I be buying a fractional part at that point?
Meaning, I need to click on the checkbox in preferences, trading, "Use Fractional Shares when possible"?

Is that all I would need to do ?

Bitcoin should already be set up with a quantity decimal precision. Are you not getting fractional shares in your Bitcoin signals in WL8?

It appears that I do NOT get fractional shares... So to validate I plugged in a 200k starting capital and 100% allocation so that I could see anything in the backtest.

All of the trades were whole numbers.

I DO have fractional shares on in preferences, and have exited out of WL and restarted to make sure its in memory.

If I run a random Strategy on BTC.USD I do see a fractional quantity. You don't see this in your Signals tab? Do you have Round Lots enabled in Backtest Preferences by any chance?

I do not see that, here are screenshots of backtest and trading.

UPDATE:

I checked the box to use multi-currency base of USD.
I MOVED Binance up to the top of historical data providers.

Seems to calculate now, though I don't like not having WL data at the top.

Can you run Knife Juggler with the symbol BTC.USD and show us a screen shot of your Signals tab?

I used BTC/USD so it hit the WL data rather than try to pull from Tradestatation data.

changed the symbol to pull from binance BTCUSD
