Currently, with standard optimization, values can only be saved as default. If I don’t run optimization across the entire dataset symbol by symbol, but use the regular one, there’s no way to save values for a specific symbol. And that’s often necessary, especially when the symbols in the dataset are added, so that re-optimization isn’t required.

This is the way in a standard optimization.

And, if you do a Symbol by Symbol optimization you can even save each symbol's best result as its Preferred Value.

Thank you! I was a little confused by the wording "Result as the Preferred Values" expecting "Save these Parameters", that’s why I didn’t use this option. But it’s nice to know that the functionality is already implemented

If you have Preferred Values saved in a Strategy you'll see a check box in the Strategy Parameters tab of the Strategy window saying "Use Symbol by Symbol Preferred Values". If you enable this, the Strategy will use each Symbol's PV if it's available as parameter values. In other tools like the Strategy Monitor or MetaStrategy Designer look for check boxes labelled "PV" if you want to use Preferred Values there.
